04 Ram 3500 front drive shaft help
« on: November 26, 2013, 02:03:33 am »
Well I'm officially stuck. I tried to remove the driveshaft I can only get the back flange bolts undone but the flanges wont break apart. 2 of the torx nuts on the front flange are completely stripped but I managed to get 2 out and all of the snap rings are removed from the bearing caps. I only need to replace one ujoint in the cardan, the one further away from the transfer case, and I'm at a loss as to how I'm getting it out. Too far along to make it driveable to take it to the dealership and even if I did replace most everything I wouldn't trust it for 2km let alone the entire way to the dealership. Is it even possible to remove that ujoint without removing the entire driveshaft?
