Post by: sxi4evr on March 22, 2012, 01:12:33 am
truck is a 4wd but when turning at intersections or any slow and somewhat sharp turn (in 2wd) i feel a bump steer as if i were in 4wd. all new ball joints and u joints less then a year old around 10k miles.

did some seaching but couldnt find anything my only thought is maybe the 4wd actuater is stuck? thanks in advance for the help

Remove the front driveshaft, and test drive. If the issue is gone, then you are still in 4wd.

welp i didnt pull the drive shaft out but it spins freely when the trucks in park and i pulled the actuater cover and its obviously in 2wd...

so i moved on and had my buddy shake the steering wheel while i was under it and found the ti rod end coming off the pitman arm was all lopped out so im thinking thats it?  either way i already got the part and im replacing it tomorrow
