You'll just have to install a bigger lift and a louder exhaust then.

a forum awards badge is all the reason you need to go out and spend a few grand  :devil2:

whoever gets it first :P

but i think bat will be the first to get the layed out one and i'll possibly get the layin low one lol. all i need now are tires and two weekends at least to get the frame notched and front lowered. lowering the rear will take a half hour with a 20min beer break lol

Title: Re: Member Awards

Depends on the badge.

Pictures, write-ups, dyno sheets, recommendations / nominations from other members, etc....

New award added to the collection.

This the Heavy Hauler badge.

In order to receive this one, you must do 2 things.

1 - Provide a weight ticket showing the GCW of your truck, trailer and load in excess of 25,000 lbs.
2 - Provide a picture of your vehicle, trailer and load that was weighed. The picture DOES NOT need to be while it's on the scales.

While we do understand that the limits of vehicles do get pushed, please adhere to, and do not exceed, the maximum weight ratings for your vehicle and operate it in a safe manner.

Scale sheet...I meant scale sheet...just missed a word.

And Rich was just saying we understand some places wont let you out of the rig while your being weighted.  So we don't expect you to show us a picture of your rig, with the load on, sitting on the scales.

Just show us the scale sheet showing weight and a picture of your rig pulling said load.  Then one of the admins will add it for you.

Title: Re: Member Awards
Post by: NickC on September 23, 2009, 12:54:57 am
Haha, nice way to squeeze the BS in there

I was just thinking if i would even come close to this considering i do mostly small jobs as of right now with my truck and trailer. I think i have only had 14k on my ball at the most. I don't know what my truck weights but i know its no where near 11k!

Although its temping to just load that F'er up and head to the scales... I dont think it would be smart move to risk the truck, trailer, or lives for a DOF badge  ;D
Title: Re: Member Awards
Post by: NickC on September 23, 2009, 12:56:41 am
What about you Ed?

All's that you would have to do is load the 5'er up with a few of these!

You could lure masses of them in with cheeseburgers and diet coke ;D

well well well.....
this seem to be a task for beasty, since her fat ass tipple the scale at 10'k by herself and my trailer is set to 3000lbs i only need about 12K more weight....

Mayfair do u talk about the excavator i moved or the pics loaded whit logs while being stuck in the mud? or the one stuck in the snow?

thats a shame last week i loaded 5k in the flatbed and 9k on the trailer, whit the tools in the truck
i hitted  29k for sure...

today i shipped a ''small''  piece.... 48' but only 2000lbs but on a 24' trailer,it was about 2 block away so i did it anyway hehehe

i dont think i will hit the scales just for the fun of it to show it weight over 25k....

anyway its a nice idea :)

I can't say that I blame you. I can imagine that if you DID hit the scales with some of that weight that you've been pulling they may not let you leave once they see just how heavy you are.

So....I saw the question asked before, but not a real good answer.   The Awards that you just have to submit a picture or two for....Do I PM someone or just post it up somewhere.  I can get one of the mileage ones, the Heavy Hauler will have to wait until the next time I get a good load.  Don't think I've been over about 18k yet.

Just start a thread w/ it ... or PM it to the admins ... what ever you want to do.

For the mileage make sure you put something in the pic to clearly id the ODO as yours (we've had DL's, registrations, cool silly notes, toy's, personal items) ... be creative and have fun with it.

I'm gonna guess 7600, although the same chassis is used on the 7700 and 7800's

I think i am in the right place for submitting a High Mileage Award, if not, please let me know where to go  :iamlost:
The first is my ODO with lisence, and second is my lisence in frame of spot on my truck in another thread, hope this is enough

I think I qualify for the shade tree mechanic (see my build thread) and maybe the Tech certified since I have a 2 yaers degree in Diesel Technology and have been working in the industry for 4 years but that is up to the staff.  I also need my high mileage and 400HP badge removed since that truck is no longer.

Shade tree mechanic and the Tech certified must be decided by the Tech certified members only. I will recommend you, then they take it from there. As for the removal of the high mileage badge and the HP badge, I can remove them for you.

I see we have badges for lowered truck and I also saw talk about maybe having badges for lifted trucks???  Did that even leave the test bench?
Title: Re: Member Awards
Post by: lilfroger on October 29, 2011, 02:17:25 am
it did ... it was talked about ... it was tossed around ... it was shot down.

Decision was based on:
-to easy to toss a lift w/o doing any actual work
-way to many variables to influence decision
-what is "High Enough"
-would it be based on suspension ... body .. tire ... roof

How about drag racing badges??? start off at 14 seconds and go in 1 second increments? And what about a 300ft club for us sled pullers? and how about a 100mph club for 1/8th and 1/4 mile?
