Yup thats what they want to do.  But its not mandatory.  I just bought my Rhino and the previous owner only had the rear spacers installed and left the sway bar in.  Yamaha is also installing free doors and a passenger grab handle that I gotta call and make an appointment for.

The 1% of idiots getting hurt riding rhinos are giving it a bad name and creating big liability for Yamaha.

That's how it always goes though.

It's like McDonald's having to put "Caution: Contents are extremely hot" on the side of coffee cups.

:argh:

Never under-estimate the stupidity of people in large numbers...

I've had alot of fun on ATV's, but we've always used common sense.

I don't get it. How does removing the rear sway bar make it safer? I get the spacers as it gives it a wider track for better stability but the sway bar???

Common sense is the key

ya, totally, common sense is the key to everything

i see far too many stupid people on quads and SxS that aren't using common sense where i go to quad and then bad shit always happens to them that would have been avoided with some simple use of common sense

They're saying removing the rear sway bar gives it more articulation, guessing it makes it safer.  I kept mine in.

I think the biggest problem is the false sense of security people are getting while riding them. The think has a roof and a roll cage, so people "feel" safer in them opposed to riding a quad; so they are more willing to do dumber stuff in those. If they were riding a quad, they would exercise more caution in fear of falling off or getting crushed.
