M D S question
« on: November 22, 2009, 09:29:02 pm »
Ok im sure you guys are getting tired of my stupid questions but im still ion the hunt for a motor for my truck. ive found a motor with mds on it out of an 06 1500 2wd and the guy who has it builds custom trucks and is going to put a twin turbo 6.1 in the donor truck "wow!". he told me that i could deactivate the mds by removing the intake , pulling the sensors out for the mds and putting the caps back on and it wouldnt affect my truck since mine is a 2500 and doesnt have it. i was just wondering if anyone has done anything like this or knew of anything like this. i was also wondering if it wouold bolt up to my tranny since mine is a 4x4 and its a 2wd model. sorry to bug you guys with my ignorance but i have no clue about any of this stuff and the dealerships wont ever help me. thanks
