Hey guys, there is either a TSB or recall for this problem.  When I had the problem,my stealership was aware and knew what to do.  Its been too long and I can't member what it was.  It was any easy fix,a dry joint???????? I hate getting old

Ahhhh  Me membered,  you should have a two piece rear drive shaft, it gets too dry where the shaft slides.  Grease the heck out of it and you shouldn't have any more troubles.  Might have to take it apart and give it a hand job if the zert won't take grease.

I haven't had a heck of alot of time to look at it, but hopefully will tomorrow.  I got thinking about it more an dthe truck did sit for along time.  The vibration was less persistent the longer I drove the truck too.  Starting to make sense, I'll prolly take the driveshaft out and replace all u-jopints while it is out with some good, Moog greasable ones!

Since the dealer services mine,I don't crawl under mine very often.  If I member right, our U Joints are greaseable.  I wouldn't replace a joint unless its getting loose.

None of them are greasable from the factory.

I thought I read someplace,if you have a special tool that you can grease the joints.  I know I read something to that affect on another forum.  Now its gonna gnaw at me till I find what they were talking about.  I hate that gnawing feeling, kinda like hearing Disney's It's a Small World song, then hum the damn tune for a couple days. :banging:

they are probably talking about that double cardan joint on your front drive shaft that needs a needle adapter to grease it

Well, I got the scoop now.  Finally crawled under the gem and found out I was COMPLETELY off in my diagnosis.
The vibration was not in the driveline, it was a stuck caliper.  The stuck caliper got the rotor hot enough to melt the ABS line, hence the ABS light coming on.  So, I'll be needing a new caliper, rotor, pads and ABS line on the right side.  Luckily the brakes only have a few thousand miles on them so I won't have to replace the left side.  The hub/bearing might be toast too  :argh:  Dam it man, I love buying used stuff  :argh:  Oh well, at least all the issues were found in the right front  ;D
