Looking at it a different way.

I wonder if it's not a vent issue.  Gas vapors are re-circulated into the tank aren't they (thank you Cali).  So between the cut off issue in the TSB and the stalling issue on over-fill these two are seeing.  I wonder if the system is seeing to high of a pressure in the gas vapor system.

Why not do a tank modification and put in a separate vent?

I agree that is what it sounds like, but why now? Why didn't he ever have the problem before?

I wonder if his gas cap is somehow faulty?

I've never had the problem with mine but I also never top the thing off after hearing that from a guy. The wife doesn't top it off either. I does sound like some kind of evap/vent type of problem though. I ain't a Dodge mechanic at all so I would be a fool to truely speculate. It has made me think about it though seeing this thread.

No problem, I'm just a mechanic and if I have to tow somebody I'll put a piece of tape over the emblem if it helps ease the embarrassment.

Cool, I'm still watching this thread. I may have a thermostat to change in mine soon, damn thing has been popping a code every once in a while. I forget the number but it's coolant temp lower than t-stat setting, something like that.
