thanks 14,650 lbs hummm Now Explain this to me... is that the amount of weight I can put in the bed? Or is that total amount that I can haul on a trailer???   This always confuses me.....
SO this is what I think. If my boat weighs 10,000 LBS and trailer weighs 5,000 LBS I am over weight?

What about the 5th wheel trailers that are huge and three axles with 3 slide outs How much do those weigh??

That's max trailer weight. Basically, (figuring in optional towing equipment) take the gross weight rating--23,000lbs I believe-- subtract the actual truck weight and that's the maximum trailer weight. Max. weight in the truck bed is king pin weight, which if I remember is like 4500-5000lbs or so. Have to look it up to be sure.

Aaaa.....Yep!

Ask bigriver, the weigh ALOT! Some run 18k to 21k gvwr and most of them are way to heavy for a dually. That's why some full timers use medium duty trucks for tow. Mine runs close to 14k for short trips. With the truck I'm close to max weight (if not over). Walt's probably heavy enough to make the weighmaster's drool.
