I got to be Dave's assistant today
« on: January 24, 2010, 01:00:32 am »
I stopped by the shop today to pick up a seal for my engine.  I had nothing else to do other than tinker today.  So I gave Dave a hand.  The shop picked up a truck that they decided to make into a hunting truck.  Problem was, the back passenger door was stuck closed.

Dave didn't pose for me very well.

Another close up of that hair of his.  Well you can see we're trying to look inside those holes in the door.

After a lot of beating and banging and some cutting, we decided to get the air chisel on it.

Presto, open door!

Let me tell ya.  I can hold a flashlight like the best of them!

I could have not done this without his help.   I asked him if he wanted to help me cut the door off a 2nd gen and he was all for it.  After we got the right tools, we had the door open in no time.   The air chisel made fast work of the latch.  About half way through, I told Drew "we should have took pics"
