So last night was a busy night.

We tore down the transmission and rebuilt it. Start to finish, we were done in about 3 hours. Got it all back together, did a quick pressure test on it and it's all good.

It was a a good thing we tore it down. The snap ring holding the direct drum in place was broken and fell out.

All the other hard parts were fine, so the only items that got replaced were the steels, frictions and seals. Everything else got cleaned and checked.

Once that was done, Tom decided he wasn't happy with the bolt on motor mounts so out came the TIG and those suckers ain't ever moving again.

I tell ya what.....the man can burn some metal.

He never had it on the dyno before.

With the weight, ET's and speed through the traps, it was pushing 558 HP on motor only and 925 on 2 stages of spray.

On spray it ran 9.30's. Mid / High 8's are the goal now.

That thing is a beast.  I am happy that I got to see the thing in person.

I think it is awesome that he has had that car from high school and just continues to "tinker" with it :wait:

That thing is nasty, ain't it.

Is that turbo not friggin enormous?

You can't even appreciate the size of a 108mm turbo until you actually see it.

Garrett only makes 2 that are bigger (that aren't custom).

Hell yeah it is!

It makes the stock one in my truck look like it came off of a Civic.
