The Dakota's Replacement
« on: April 04, 2010, 09:32:34 pm »
Wait, you didn't know I got rid of the Dakota?  Well yeah I did. I didn't want too but I needed something with some more room and I didn't have the money to have 3 trucks.  I figured it would easier to get another dakota down the road then it would be to replace my 84 W150 so the dak had to go.  I tried to find a 01-04 Dakota QC so I could stay loyal to the Dakota brand and transfer all my parts but the closest ones were all over 150 miles away.  So now I'm a 3rd Gen Ram owner:

It's a 2007 1500 QC 2wd w/ the 4.7L V8 and tow haul package. I plan to drop it and add a stereo to it to start things off, maybe some more extensive mods later on.

The dakota will be missed, but I will get another one later on down the road.

DAYUM!

Well, I'm sorry to see that good lookin' Dak go, but at least you stayed in the family.

Good lookin' truck!

Can't wait to see what you have in store for it.

If it's like the rest of your projects, I'm sure it'll be sharp.

Just a few?

Nice looking truck man.

Randomly, I thought they got rid of the drop down cup holders in the 2nd to 3rd gen switch, but I guess not.  Also interesting that someone shaved almost all the badges except the flex fuel one...  odd...

He was all choked up LOL. I'm gonna finish de-badging the tailgate later on.
