Stalling going into reverse?
« on: May 19, 2010, 03:41:42 am »
Hey has anyone ever had this problem? Two times now when I shifted into reverse the motor died instantly! No rhyme or reason, no stumble, or misfire just died. Started right back up after I put it back in park but I just dont know what could be causing it. Any ideas. OH yeah I have an 05 1500 w/Hemi automatic, 65,000 miles, EGR valve replaced less then 10,000 miles ago, throttle body cleaned spotless about 2000 miles ago. Runs great, strong as ever.
05 Ram 1500, 3 inch body lift, Hemi, DIY custom 4inch CAI, dual magnaflow exhaust, 285/70/17 Cooper Discoverers, perfect interior, future mods coming.

My 03 did that a couple times, dealer reflashed and fixed it.

My 04 would randomly just shut off, turned out being some sensor... dodge starscanned it and i bought the part, good to go a few bucks later....

Maybe $20 and a quick scan can point ya in the right direction
