Ok so a few weeks back I was riding to work. Two lane road, light traffic, 35 MPH zone.
This Bettle slowly passes me on the left and just out of the blue flips on her blinker as she's sliding into my lane. She JUST rolled past me!! Bike or no Bike what kind of bobble head goes past a vehicle and doesn't check to make sure they are clear of it before changing lanes.
No one behind me...brakes on ... hit the horn.
Stock Harley horn SUCKS!!! This thing would not get the attention of a fly little alone a vehicle. So that week I found
Dual-Tone Motorcycle Air Horn
I turned right around and sent it to the hubby and said "mommy wants ... my b-day is coming up
"
Fast forward to today and I get home and am given my gift ... tada
Simon found it in Chrome to better match the bike. (it will be on their web site in a week or so ... he called them direct and got one of the first ones in stock)
The install was supper easy. It wired right into the stock horn wiring so my thumb button still controls it.
Now on with the noise ....

Wow that is loud! I prefer the boot to the door myself, butthat horn doesNt seem like a bad investment.

Cool.
Definitely loud enough now. But I also am kinda fond of the boot to the door idea. Tried it before and it definitely gets there attention.

I have a hard enough time walking some days ... if I tried to kick a moving vehicle the only thing that would get notices is my ass hitting the ground

I just got the air horns too!
My stock horn didn't last 2 months, and I knew that warranty would only cover replacing the same HD junk horn
Love the new horns!

If you lived her in Maryland, getting cut off is almost a daily accurance. That is why I will not ride the Baltimore Beltway or 97 between Baltimore or Annapolis.

98% of drivers here are pretty stupid also. That's the main reason when on the bike I don't take the highway unless I'm in a group. Side streets seem to be a little better.

I ride 167.7 miles a day, I do 40'ish back roads and 40'ish interstate 85 each way. Last Friday was so bad i did not think i would make it home in one piece.
I am not ready for school traffic to start up.

People actually watch for bikes out here where I am at. I guess the perfect riding weather, desolate desert roads and twisties through the mountains and hills bring quite a bit of bikes out here. So people are always watching for them. I hear it every time I am anywhere, someone asks where your going, you tell em, and they always say, "watch for motorcycles around _________"
