NC State Fair

Sooooo.... The NC State Fair starts tomorrow and goes til the 24th... Sounds like a fun thing to do for anyone near the Raleigh area...

I'm game after Sat.  Mon/Tues I have to do a furniture run for a co-worker, but I'm on leave starting Monday.

I can't go THIS Saturday because I have a birthday party to go to, but would next Saturday work?

Next sat is the local G2G at Tom's

Eric- I'm sorry, but I think I am going to have to pass. I hit my head really hard at work yesterday and actually went to the ER to get checked out. I checked out ok, but my head and neck still hurt. I think it would be a bad idea for me to drive into Raleigh on my own since head injuries are so unpredictable

Wait, you're the GF of a Marine, and you're letting little old head injury stop you?!?!

Nah, totally cool.  If you do feel up to it later, let me know, but sounds like a good weekend to take off and relax.  You do have someone checking on you periodically for concussion and other symptoms, right?

Let me put it this way: I walked on a broken ankle for 2 weeks when I was three. I think I am pro at dealing with pain... So when I said "holy crap that effing hurt!" at work I knew it was bad.

And no- I have no one checking up on me. Unless you count the dog. She wouldn't leave my side yesterday... I went to work today because it was a safer choice: I would be surrounded by people and I would be closer to the hospital.

Just speaking from experience, might want to have someone call in every few hours to make sure you're alive...

My co-workers have been checking in on me, along with my mom and a friend. My head and neck aren't hurting today, so I guess that is a plus....
