I'm looking for good places to find mower/go cart parts like engines and such, I'm not having much luck. I fugre some of you guys have come across decent places on the interwebs.
Perhaps even know somebody who makes a vertical shaft diesel burner?
I may be involved with a pulling or race mower build ;)

I've gotten small engines here before:

They don't have any vertical shaft diesels listed...

The only ones I remember seeing are from Hatz, or Lombardini (both are industrial, so RPM's will be pretty low, but high torque)

awesome they have a 27 horse vertical V Twin..... that'd be fun hehehe :)

If its applicable sears has a very good parts website for hard to find things. Ebay is always good, I used jacks small engines before jackssmallengines.com
