Vaccum Line questions
« on: August 14, 2008, 12:04:19 am »
Ok bear with my crappy ass 1935 digital camera.

As some of yall know i installed the M1, some of you will say ill loose torque but just hold off.

There are some vaccum lines that run to the manifold, then to the throttle body. There is a 3 way vaccum valve (could just be a connector) that connects 3 lines together.

2 lines run to the manifold, one to the TB. What im wondering is if i can take the shorter one off (with the 90 degree elbow) without any problems. All it does is run to the manifold, and there is already a line drawing vaccum, and the TB is drawing vaccum. So what is the point of this line!!

seems kind of redundent doesn't it.   what i try to do on stuff like this is disconnect it and cap off the ports or plug the lines with golf tees and try it for awhile.  if everything works ok, then i cut it off later.   go for it.
