Right on man  :2cool: I was at the old campus, graduated January 2000. Try to apply yourself better than I did. I spent to much time partying and drinking :drink: Still had a job before I graduated though.

It should come pretty easy I think. Some of the tards I saw come through at graduation there 2 weeks ago looked like they couldn't wrench their way out of a wet cardboard box. That, and I don't party. I lived that years ago my first couple years in the Army.

It's definitely scary that some guys that I went to school with were going to work on cars for a living. It's really not that difficult at all, very basic broad coverage unless you get on with a manufacturer after you finish with UTI. You'll probably learn more after you get into a "real" shop environment.

Good luck man  ;D

Yeah so I have heard. Just like the Army training, you just get your feet wet basically. I am striving for the Cummins 12 Week elective. If all goes good and as planned, I will graduate from UTI May 5th 2012, hopefully get into the Cummins Elective right away, and land a job at Rocky Mountain Cummins less than 1/2 mile away from the UTI campus. That is what I am set on.

How do you normally find your loads?

We hired a dispatcher for our first 4 months. Now we're doing it on our own. We use "load boards", websites where brokers post the loads that they have. You call them and try to work out the best rate you can get.

Did you drive Hwy 99 to I5 or just take I5 all the way between Sac and LA? I hate driving I5, much more prefer 99.

We took I-5 to Sac. and 99 back down. I also like 99 better.
