Winter's coming
« on: November 12, 2010, 09:07:31 pm »
Just thought I'd show off my toy.  Little back story on it.  It's a 91 AC Prowler special that my grandpa bought new.  I spent just about every weekend with him, so i was with when he bought it.  I was really close with him.  My grandma died in 91 and he met someone a few years later.  Long story short, she was not a nice lady and the family end up split and he no longer came to anything.  He passed away a little over 5 years ago and we received nothing of his.  My uncle bought this sled a few years before he passed and he was going to let my cousin (his kid) sell it.  I was pissed when I heard that because it's the only thing we have of his.  My mom, dad, and wife surprised me with it for my birthday.  I'm pretty fricken excited to have it.

Actually no, it wasn't.  That's showing up tomorrow sometime.  I was not aware of this until after I posted that.  This thing coming is actually owned by someone else, but I'm in charge of maintenance and detail on it until it sells.

Sweet! Its even better because it has more meaning than any other one bought off the street. And to have your family surprise you with it has to be a great feeling.
