Surprised at how calm the hunter was...but dawned on me that he was most likely sitting there with a 30-06. Do not think he was to worried about it.

Hell that close a .243 woulda done the job.  What is amazing is the camera doesn't shake.  Gun in one hand, camera in other, 2x2 platform= self control

It's fun to watch animals when they don't know you're there.

They can be complete morons.....just sniffin' the butterflies, trippin' over roots, playing with their refection in the water.

Then they realize they're being watch and it's back to high alert.

Before they realize their is a female near by they are tripping all over themselves acting like baboons ... once they see the female they start acting ... like ... baboons with the intent to get laid :D

I get the feeling he was bow hunting; small clearing. I was expecting to hear a pistol fire. That was pretty cool though. Scared the hell out of the bear.

As soon as the bear put his paws on the ladder, I would of open fired.  I don't care if I was using a bow or what.  I'm pretty sure I could get at least 2 arrows in it's head before he got to the platform then he would of gotten a hand held arrow right through his mouth or eye!!!
