Friday marks 10 years since Sr. died, so Sunday's Daytona 500 is extra special. I am usually a Harvick fan, as he was the replacement driver for Sr's team after he was killed, but this year, I am going for Jr. I am not a Jr fan at all, never have been, he is only famous because of his name, but, he is my driver this year. I want Mark Martin to take it so the old man can retire already, but Jr it is.

So, with that being said, who are yall goin for?

I had been out of school for 3 years.  I don't know who I'm pulling for this year.  I started out as a Jr. fan then switched to Kayne.  Now that Kayne is driving for Toyota, I don't really know who I'll be rooting for.  But I am going to see the race at Dover this year, my first time being to a track.

Watching from home is nothing compared to what you experience at an actual race. Real Nascar fans are a big family at the race. If you get lucky, you will sit next to a die hard Sr fan, who is 3 sheets to the wind. Best time of your life right there. I have been to too many races to count. Greatest time of my life. I am going to the Phoenix race in 2 weeks with some buddies from school. I have never been to a March race here, they were always in November back in the day, and often rained out towards the end. Good weather in March, so it is going to be unforgettable.

I had a chance to go to the 98 500 which Sr won, but I couldn't convince my father to drive there from Orlando.  He said that we could come back down the following year with my aunt and uncle who come down every year, we would be able to get better seats with them.  Well, that never happened.  This year my other Uncle invited me to go to Dover as his son can't make it.  Can't wait!

And Sunday I will be wearing my last surviving #3 shirt and hat with pride while I watch the race.

Tough gig man. That would have been one hell of a race to attend.

I have got more #3 T shirts than I know what to do with. I just cut the sleeves of my favorite one though, the #3 Wrangler, for the race here.

I've followed Tony Stewart's career, from the open wheel to now. I'll stick with him.
