Too loud. The bike runs great. It is tuned for the baffles removed on these particular pipes. I may just ride with an ear plug in my right ear...

So I have heard, but when you can't hear out of your right ear after a 60 mile ride, and you go to bed with a headache, and wake up 10 hours later with the same headache, then it is too loud. I was fully hydrated and sober when I went to bed.

If its to loud, you're to old.....

I know whenever I rode 2 abreast with someone else, they always made me ride the shoulder 'cause the noise was to much.  :punk:  I'm thinking that the reason the noise seems so loud is because they turn down towards the pavement, and you are hearing the echo off the road. With my 2" straight pipes I could hardly hear them myself.

Frikken sawheeeetttt ride man!!!

I always ride with ear plugs, just for wind noise. My bikes are all quite but I still use plugs... or my ear buds for some tunes.  :punk:

On longer rides I ride with my iPod or my droid streaming Pandora, but just locally I don't use anything. The wind noise doesn't bother me much. It used to, but you get used to it after a couple thousand miles.

Extended exposure to those db levels WILL cause permanent hearing loss.

Short rides to the store or something... I don't worry about it. But if I'm gonna be on the bike for more than 20 min or so... I wear'm. To many old riders I know say'n... "whaaa?"
