Check Engine Light is on..
« on: June 27, 2011, 12:40:02 am »
:banging: , just when i think i get my truck goin well. Stuff happens all over again. I was drivin through town and started to accelerate and got a horrible vibration through the whole truck. It seems to studder really bad at lower rpms, but you can hear it in the exhaust, like it's missing real bad, but sounds muffled at the same time. When it idles it sounds fine. The check engine light came on, I have a code reader but it's with one of my friends at the moment so when i get it back i'll get a code. Does this sound like just plugs and wires? Or maybe a clogged cat?

sounds like time for new plugs and wires. . .Yoda did the same thing but didnt throw a code, had two spark plugs that dropped the center electrode.

Id say wires or plugs, a clogged cat would be more trouble at higher rpms.
