Design my truck!
« on: June 30, 2011, 07:00:41 pm »
Ok, so as most of you know, my Ram was in an accident, and it's in the body shop. I've talked them into getting me a different hood, and here is the one that I got

I've also decided to get a full paint job, so now is the time to do some funky stuff I guess or to strip off any molding.

Whadda you guy suggest? I've seen ome really cool Rams with stripes, bumpers painted, grills painted, all kinda of crazy stuff and now my head is spinnin.  :argh:

Can you do a picture here of what it would look like? I really kinda suck at this kinda stuff.

Thanks!

Here's my truck:

I love that hood, intimidating in a modest way, imo.  A lot goes into the paint though, are you going for a more custom look? or borderline stock?  My ram has the two tone paint, and ultimatly, when i am done painting it, the green on the upper half of the bed is gonna wrap slowly into the bed (so it's not just a straight shot, know what i mean?).  However, thats me, and i don't mean to take away from your post.  I would first say strip off molding, and emblems, i have always done that all my vehicles, and i think it makes them look sleeker, and there is no reason you need a 1 1/2 foot dodge on your tailgate, you know what your driving (again thats me).  My stance on a painted grill is no, (again, my opinion, lol), i think it takes away from the front end, and i always loved the front a ram, plus is sets off thechrome of the bumper as well.  The trimming aroung the bumper though, i have always wanted to paint to match the green on my truck though, but am afraid it will look god awful in the long run.  However, i have been planning this all in my head since march, and still have a ways to go, my suggestion, look at pictures online of paint jobs, hell, comibne 2 that you like, or maybe just do a matte black, the combinations are limitless, and you are you only obstacle  ;D i hope some of what i said was helpfull, if not,  i appologize for rambling
So what if i'm turning my Ram into a Decepticon?  Not like it's THAT sad......ok, it is that sad.... ;)

lol, thats why i re-create a lot of my vehicles, i had a 95  Buick Century i made into the Mach 5 (speed racer) lol, and my Ram is slowly becoming a Decepticon, lol.  I'm a huge nerd, so please, don't laugh too hard.
