Sauk River
« on: November 07, 2011, 07:55:41 am »
Jake and I went out with some friends to Sauk River today. It was a little cold but a beautiful day nonetheless. We took Sassy and the Jeep. Sassy had a blast once we got to the river and by the end of the day she was a champ when we hit the bumps, trees, roots, etc. I didn't take pictures of everyone on the trails because we were leading but here are the ones I did manage to get

On the way to Sauk River

The caravan of friends behind us (six vehicles total)

A light dusting

Almost to the river

We were going down a trail when the trail turned into the Everglades...

Yes, it took all SIX guys to figure out that we had to reverse and find a different route

Sassy's paw print next to my boot print. To put it in perspective- those boots are a little big on me...

This was right before she decided to lay down in the water

The river

Begging for another treat

The Jeep!

The boy is capable of smiling ;)

Snoozing in the Jeep while we figured out where to go next

Even with my window closed I could hear her going "Oh crap... Oh crap!"

Sun setting behind the mountain on our way home

Why yes, I do drive a 2009 MINI Cooper S.

I am definitely a Smidget**

Apparently there is a lookout that we'll go to next time. It got too late to go this time around. Maybe we'll have snow, too!

Har de har har... You could have come with us with your fancy camera. You seemed to feel that doing wiring on the Toyota was a better idea.

PS- That was with Jake's camera since mine was missing. It's 7.5 mp, but photobucket must have resized the images

I found out, that with a charged battery, I light up better than the turn signals.   :notaz: :panic:  The locker switches have a soothing blue glow though

You're a little early to be a Christmas decoration. Clearly we cannot leave you unsupervised. I wonder if that soothing blue matches my mood lighting in the car. If so, that would be really awesome!

Jake says you can't get electrocuted with a 12V.

You can...you just have to stab yourself with the wire.  Turns out theres a lot of salt in blood that makes it a great conductor.

Lame... Blue skies, snowy looking mountains, trucks driving on tree trunks on the river bed, and a dog playing in water. Hope that is a decent enough description ;)
