Head lamp bulb
« on: January 01, 2012, 11:35:43 am »
Hi,

I have a 2007 standard nitro with no modifications. My nitro is in Saudi Arabia where I work but I am currently on vacation in the uk. It is a left hand drive so I think it must be us spec.

Whilst in the uk I am trying to buy a spare bulb kit. I am told the headlamp will be H1 H4 or H7.

I can't physically check just now as its 3500 miles away ;-). Does anyone know the difference between these bulbs and which one mine is likely to be ?

Thanks
Graham

My research is coming up with an H13 bulb.  The dealer isn't open today or I'd call up to confirm.

US Owners Manual for the Nitro says:
LIGHT BULBS — Outside Bulb No.
Headlight. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 9008 H13

You should be able to download a copy of it at http://www.dodge.com/en/owners/manuals/

(not sure if they do IP filtering and will force you to the UK site or not)

Thanks guys. I'm now coming up with H13 myself now. Regular ones are 55-60 watt.

I can find some rated at 65 watt. Not being an expert in this field . . . Will the extra 5 watt cause any problems eg fried cables or overheated light covers ?

Thanks again
Graham

Is usually very straight forward. Just buy asimilar bulb base. The base is usually the only link that is used to power light bulb.
