EFILive for Dummies, Part 2 - Data Logging
« on: January 03, 2012, 04:42:05 am »
I have been meaning to do this for a while, just haven't had the time.

This is the Scan tool part of EFILive. This is the REAL money maker and is what makes the Tune tool effective.

Without using the Scan tool, you're tuning in the dark.

This is definitely intriguing, but doesn't seem entirely too difficult. Thanks for this. After my first Doghouse tune (whenever all the bugs are finally under control,) I may take a stab at my own tuning.

Question- With the 6.7 EFI live, does it have the capability of increasing max engine RPM? I would like to turn more than 38**. The 67Me TNT does not increase Max RPM like the 5.9 does.

You can turn whatever the hell RPM's you want.

Though, anything up there is just for show really unless you have the cam for it.

A stock cam falls on it's face after 3200. I mean the power takes a nose dive.

I have mine set for 4200, but my trans shifts at 3600.

The only time I go higher is on the dyno, just because it sounds friggin wicked when it's up there.

My engine sounds like nothing I have ever heard before in the high RPM's. With this turbo I've got all the power from midrange to top. I've lost all low end.

Sounds like you're drowning it on the bottom.

You should have no issue spooling a 66 at all.
