Hi Guys!  Purchased this Laramie about a week ago, and thought I'd contribute to the 4th gen section.

Some of you may remember me from back in the day.  I had an 06 2500 up until about a year ago.  In a moment of weakness, I traded it in on a gasser.  Ultimately, needed to come back to the diesel as we're getting a large travel trailer.  Some initial impressions:
-VERY comfortable.  You can hear the Cummins working, but it's not too loud.  Seats are great, and the heated steering wheel, which I initially said was a dumb option, has proven AWESOME.
-The 430N nav radio SUCKS!  Streaming music is terrible, sounds like the tweeters are blown... all garbled and stuff.  Also, preset stations mysteriously change to the Sirius preview channel.  Kinda annoying.  I intend to complain to the uconnect folks.
-So far, seems pretty tuff.  Overnight temps dropped to 8*, along with about 3 inches of snow.  So you know I had to go test her out!  No block heater, no winter front, no nothing... but she fired up right away.  The traction control is very hands-off, which I like.  Couldn't tell much difference with it turned on vs. turned off.  Had heat blowing through the vents within a couple mins, which was awesome (thank you EGR).
-Exhaust brake is great.  Above 55mph, it'll slow you down quick.  Between 45 and 55, it's a moderate slow down, and below 45 the most it'll do is hold a speed when going down hill.  Haven't towed with it yet, but have high hopes.
-Mileage isn't so good, but I only have 900 miles on her.  Bringing it home from the stealer was all highway... averaged about 17mpg.  City driving (and I'm talking real city, with sky scrapes and stuff), I'm getting around 11.  Not nearly as good as my 5.9, but oh well.  For now, no intentions to delete.

Sorry, no shiny pictures until this spring!

Lurker,

On the radio issue, make sure you have it set how you want before setting the driver seat memory position, otherwise the issue you describe happens.

I have mine set up so position 1 is with the mirrors folded and position 2 is with them out, so it makes it a real quick change.

On the mileage, that's an easy fix, it just depends on how much you value your warranty.

Otherwise, I have about the same feelings on mine....I love the thing.

Unfortunately the seat wasn't programmed until well after the audio issues.  I called uconnect customer service to log a complaint... they claim the problem is with Apple, that a fix is in works, and they'll get the word out when it's ready...

Ahhh, okay.

Mines got the 730 unit and what I thought was an issue was just me not setting the memory functions at the same time.

No, I wish. That'd be nice.

I have it set so if I have the mirrors down, I just hit memory position 1 and it adjusts everything.

If I have them flipped up, I just hit 2 and everything gets adjusted for towing.

I tell ya what, these 4th Gen's will spoil ya. Hit the remote start, your climate control comes on, the seat heaters come on, the steering wheel heat (which I have grown REALLY fond of) comes on......spoils ya rotten.

I'm trading the chrome mirrors with another guy with the black mirrors, so the truck is parked until Weds. I'm driving the BOMB'r right now and it feels like I'm slummin'. That's pretty friggin' sad.
