Gotta Love tax time...
« on: March 04, 2012, 07:24:12 pm »
Just got done ordering a bunch of parts for the truck, I've had a complete set of tie rods sitting here for a year and was waiting to get more front end parts before I installed it so I could just tear it down one time.  Today I ordered 4 new Skyjacker shocks and steering stabilizer, Brake pads and rotors, and ball joints.  Hopefully it'll ride like a brand new truck when I'm done, I've been neglecting a lot of that stuff for a while.

I know its not huge news, but I haven't been on here much lately and just wanted to let you know I'm still alive.

My computer was down for a few months and right after I got it fixed, we didn't have internet access for a while. So between those two things, I was using my phone as my sole source of internet for about 6 months.  It was just too much work to visit here on my phone.

I got a track bar from Don about 2 years ago.  It cured a lot of issues.

Really? I thought those track bars were his big seller, I know after I got my bumper from him, he quit making bumpers to start focusing more on the track bars and stuff.

sounds like fun work ahead. Last night I started some work on my truck, got one of the new 5" coils in, and the control arms, along with the new adjustable trac bar bracket. I'm hoping with my taxes i can get the final stuff that i need to finish my 3/4 ton axles and get those put under the truck.

I was going to go to 5" coils and do some more stuff to the truck, but I'm probably going to be selling it at the end of the year since I found out I'm heading to Korea in January. It seems like a good time to get rid of it and I'll just get something else when I come back.

So thuren does not make bumpers like yours anymore? That's one of the best designs I've seen. But have aa heck of a time trying to find a company selling them.

Yeah.  Once his shop started taking off he stopped doing bumpers because they took so much time.
