Steve Morris Racing Engines 3000 HP dyno pull!!
« on: March 10, 2012, 04:39:41 pm »
Just thought I would share this with you guys, Steve Morris is my car guy hero.  He's been doing forced induction forever and made many innovations over the years.  Here is a vid for you guys to check it out, and for those of you who think I'm nuts for wanting 1000 hp??  This ones 3K!

1970 Chevelle 496 Single 101mm Turbo . . . Stock door panels and rear seat. (It was easier to say what is stock than list all the mods.)
2004 Duramax Heavy Dooty, Edge CTS, S&B intake, MPRP exhaust

1965 Corvette Stingray (Dad's car)
1970 Corvette Convertible (Mom's car)
1931 Sedan Delivery (Grandfather's, bought new)

So is this the new goal?

Actually that is freakin' outrageous,  7hp or so per cubic inch.

Any idea what the life is? Feet- minutes- Starts?

Holy Crap! Drop the hammer and twist the freakin' car in half. That's just insane. It will be a major feet just shoe horning that monster in that mustang.

Bullseye turbos he said? Seen the Bulls eye guys awhile back at a dyno event I attended. They were there with a triple turbo truck. Pretty sweet. Left towards the end, never did see if he dyno'd or not.

Yeah, thats totally stupid.  There are quite a few racing classes out there requiring leaf springs, but this guy is bringing a cannon to a knife fight!

My next step would require a new shortblock, a 540 that would put me up at about 1700 rwhp and still be able to drive it on the street!
