Less restriction of airflow will drop pressure while increasing volume.
But on the air filter intake side I don't see why you would lose psi.
Check all the clamps and boots on the turbo end as well as the intercooler.  One may have worked lose when doing the install.
You can't fix stupid

Its been a while, but if i remember correctly... the pressure took longer to build once i put my S&B on, but never took away.

I remember being able to hit 32 easy with the stock stuff on, now its a little tougher to get past 30, but still doable.

I'm seeing 48-50 lbs with EGT's at around 13-1400   :tt2:

With stock intake I was seeing 36psi.... but now I can't get it past 31psi... I'm not worried about the loss, I know I'm now getting more efficiant air flow .... I just wondered Why it would lose boost...

No power loss though and EGTs are a little lower...

And the turbo screams now.

A positive airflow change to the turbo inlet has nothing to do with a drop in boost pressure. I say you've got a boost leak somewhere if anything. But you say your EGT's have dropped. A loss in boost at WOT results in higher EGT's and more smoke.

Is your truck an automatic? If so, set the parking brake, put it in gear, and have someone hold the brake and build some boost pressure, while you spray some soapy water on your charge air boots. Maybe you cut a boot somehow while taking the old intake system off.
