Mileage Report
« on: May 29, 2012, 05:28:33 pm »
Have a little mileage information for all of you that are curious.  The first reading was with a 0 plate all the way forward, AFC full forward, and 24* of timing.  Filled up on Friday morning and drove 389 miles and my fuel gauge sat directly between 1/2 and 3/8.  Mind you I had to climb 5 mountain ranges during my trip.  I also putted around a couple days on the weekend and played with her a little bit.  Filled up yesterday at 403 miles on the ODO and the handle clicked off at 23.4 gallons.  Trip up I got 17.2222222MPG with it completely tuned up and no a/c doing anywhere from 50-80MPH.  Before I made my trip home yesterday, I decided to try and de-tune her down a little bit and see what would happen.  So, I pulled my 0 plate back half way and moved my AFC full back, and still 24* of timing.  Now on the way home yesterday I took the same route and climbed the 5 passes again.  This trip was only 351 miles and according to my fuel gauge I burned a half of a tank.  Not being sure exactly how many gallons are left in the tank, I am gonna estimate that my mileage on my return trip is gonna be around 18MPG's.  Only thing that is gonna shoot the mileage on this tank to shit is hitting the roller this weekend.
