Riding along with Tom in the Chevelle
« on: October 14, 2012, 10:55:19 pm »
I'll have the videos up later, they're just too big to upload over the phone.

We picked up a pair of GoPro cameras and I have 3 mounts setup. One looking forward from the rear window, one looking over at Tom from the passenger side and one on the outside looking overe Ton's shoulder going down the track.

Here's the first video.

The car blew the tires off on this pass and Tom just rode it out and got back in it at the end of the track.

What mustang? I didn't see any....oh, there he is.

Ya, that launch looked a lot harder than it did as a spectator standing next to the fence. Definitely want to keep focused for sure. Nice run, awesome car.  :punk:

Also sure that having the cameras in the car will provide awesome video for the 'net, but provide useful info to boot.

I MAY BE OLD, BUT I GOT TO SEE ALL THE GOOD BANDS.....

Yeah, its pretty cool to watch what goes on inside the car because things are moving so fast there isn't much time to look at things.

You can kinda get an idea of how hard that thing pulls by the tassel on the rear view. Sitting in the passenger seat is a different story.

One of the dumb asses got hit by one of the bikes. The bike was doing the burnout, the rider lost it, the bike took off and hit one of the morons that are dumb enough to stand IN FRONT of the burnout box.

That and they have no friggin control of the staging area or anything else down there.

I don't understand why those people were standing there. Doesn't the track have rules?

Outlaw track and VERY little management / control.

They've let it happen for so long that they've completely lost control of the place.

Tech inspection....... Here's the tech card, print your name, sign, you passed tech. Every 3rd or 4th car oils down the track, something falls off, etc..... If they actually tech'd, the track would be closed because they wouldn't have any cars running.
