04 5.9 Fan Clutch Removal?
« on: January 03, 2013, 02:39:34 am »
OK I have read all the tricks about how to get the fan clutch off but just so I am 100% clear, standing in front of the truck does it loosen counter clockwise or clockwise.
Thanks my knuckles thank you!

It appears to be counter clockwise. Found a youtube vid that shows the removal pretty well. Hope it helps.

Thanks Kenz,

Got if off this morning, took three men and a small boy with a four foot breaker bar on the end of a wrench to get it loose. Tried soaking it with kroil, heat, air chisel, kicked my butt! Think it was the original.
She’s moving some air now though; it’s nice when your equipment works correctly!
Thanks for the video.
