4" or 5" turbo-back exhaust system
« on: January 18, 2013, 06:17:45 pm »
For the last few years I've been running with a section of straight pipe in place of the muffler/resonator on an otherwise stock exhaust system. EGTs are manageable and the turbo spools fairly quickly but I'm getting tired of the noise level, especially the drone at 65-75mph. I'm looking at getting a 4" or 5" turbo-back exhaust system w/muffler. I want to keep the growl under acceleration and I definitely want to keep restriction to a minimum, but if I can tone it down just a bit at idle and highway cruising speed I'll be happy. Anyone have suggestions on manufacturers and/or sources?

From what I've learned is 4" is all you need without Extensive Mods

There is a Resonator that you install to keep the sound without the Drone
