Need to put a grill over the turbo inlet. You know, to keep critters from getting sucked in.  ;D  Does look like there's room for a lot bigger turbo, might have to smack a bulge in the hood though.

Have to say she came out awesome! I see tons of fun with this ride.  :punk:

Had to rebuild the trans (again!?) but with better parts this time.  300M input shaft, 4140 forward drum hub, 7 clutches in the direct drum, and a trans brake valve body.  So far the trans shifts amazingly well and hopefully will go to the track.  I also added a mild cam and head studs to the motor.  My butt dyno feels like its making another 80 hp or so .

You gotta be getting real good at building transmissions by now.  ;D  Pretty impressive numbers for a low buck build. I'm just digging the whole 'hot rod' feel of the car.  :punk:

Thanks Ken!  We drove this to the track last night, I wanted to make an easy pass to data log for a base line and was shocked to see the car run a 6.77 @ 106 mph on only 9 lbs.  Gave the boost controller a twist and made another pass, 6.44!  Made one more pass using the trans brake to launch and the car went 6.33@113 with a 1.51 60' on 13 lbs!  That equates to 9.80's in the 1/4, I am extremely impressed with these motors!

Just wanted to give this thread an update as well.  I have been chipping away at the tune and has been low 6's in the 1/8 (about 9.60's in the 1/4) and now totes the front tires off of the line.  Later the same day this was filmed a car just slightly faster than mine made a pass and wrecked terribly.  The car did not have a roll bar of any kind. This made me think hard and fast about trying to make this car any faster.  I really enjoy driving this, and just as long as the weather is nice I use it as my daily.  I'm going to focus more on the Chevelle and slow this one down some.

Went to the local "street racing" hangout last night to see what I had been missing out on (I raced their "fastest" guy a few weeks ago at the track and donkey gapped him haha). There was about 15 cars out there, a newer Vette and a fully built SRT4 Neon are going to race so a buddy hops in the car with me and we follow. They race a few times and I get hung back a little and while trying to catch up we pull along side of a crotch rocket, so I tell my buddy to see if he wants to make a hit, he gives us the thumbs up, my buddy gives the 123 count and I smash it at about 50 mph (actually I smashed it on 2 but it had to downshift and build boost haha) , I pulled a little on him but once the converter locked I put a good car and a half on him lol. I lift and slow down and we go back to the spot. Guy on the bike walks up and said WTH do you have in that thing?? He was riding a R1 with some work done to it, I couldn't believe it!! I thought maybe it was a 600 lol. Needless to say no one wanted to race after that!!
