Cats
« on: May 08, 2013, 06:39:50 pm »
Yesterday after work, I went to one of our clean public ponds in hopes of catching some trout. Instead, I got a few cats. These were caught on big reds aka trout worms. Luckily they all got caught by the lip, after removing the hook, I let them go.

What is your catfish experience? Got pictures? Post 'em here!

Catfish is the only thing I go for on hot summer nights, get em home, soak in a brine overnight, then fry up in nugget sized pieces the next day. Serve with cold beer and thats the best meal there is.

Cats and Bass is all Arizona had to offer unless you went far North to the Colorado river or the trout stocked lakes. I used to think they were fun to catch until I went to Minnesota and did some real fishing.

Cat fishing can be fun. When things are slow on the bay in the summer, dragging a crawler harness in the shallows always produces cats. Not monsters, but fun the catch.
