Me at the Gateway Arch

I've touched the Mississippi River!

I seem to have a tendency to visit big rivers when they are at or near a flood stage.

View of St. Louis from the top of the Gateway Arch.

From the base of the arch.

And it's not really a touristy thing, but this was the clock at the salon where the bridal party got their hair and nails done.

It was a really cool place to see!  I'm only upset that we couldn't spend more than a few hours there, but we did a lot in those few hours.

I don't actually plan to be visiting places with a high water level, but I just have that timing I guess.  Both times that it's happened so far, I visited in spring and they had both just gotten a lot of rain.  It's just my luck.
