Build Advice for bulletproofing 2nd gen Dodge Ram

I know on one of the many machines in this household we have a copy of the TSB for the "death flash" I think  it might have been 09-06-99.  Before Dodge started calling for a replacement of the Plenum plate there was a flash to the ECM to drop the fueling or something.  It was a band-aid that ended up causing more harm that it cured.

I think Hughes recently updated their kit to come with the cross-over hose & the thermostat.  So some of the 'extra's may not be needed anymore.

I did have the plenum replaced with a hughes kit.
