Headed to Elko, NV

I forgot all about the Star.  What are you working on in Elko?

I'm with the Bureau of Land Managment and will be filling in as the Associate District Manager for 90 days.  I will be involved with the office operations and most of the issues within the office.  Issues include mining, grazing, wildland fire, and recreation.  You know, one of those office clowns that wonder around and stick my nose into things that I probably shouldn't. 

I may be headed over to our state office in Reno for a couple of days in the next few weeks.  If so, I'll contact you and maybe we could check out the Great Basin!

Sounds good to me!  My dad actually retired from the state office about 3 years ago, he was the state range specialist.

My wife deals with the BLM a lot also, she is a biologist for the Audubon society.  I guess you could say I've been around the BLM my entire life.

Geeeeze - it's a small world out here!      If I work out a trip to the SO then we'll get together, for sure!

Obviously the SO trip didn't work out!  2,771.1 miles from the center of Elko, Nv to the hacienda and 5 days, I'm tired!  I just need to rest-up, do a little maintenance and then off to Las Cruces, NM.  Lots-of miles this year.
