Looks good running
Easiest way to get top speed is to
1. get the sterndrive trim in a neutral position at idle
2. Bring the boat up on plane, then hammer down
3. Start trimming the drive up a little at a time. Watch the RPM as your doing this. What you want is for the boat to ride as far out of the water as possible, but not cavitating the prop.
When either the engine starts missing (max engine rpm- against the rev limiter) or starts dropping back down that is as fast as she'll run.
You can trim the drive back down a touch and the boat will feel alot more stable.
This point changes depending on the boat load and how its balanced.
Careful with the prop, Mercury is kinda pround of them when you ding a blade
