Leaky Fuel Pump
« on: February 17, 2014, 11:12:20 pm »
Just noticed I have a gas leak coming from that little black cap which has cracked, the one on the left side in this pic, with the hose clamp.

doesn't seem like I can order just the cap, but I did find an assortment of rubber vacuum caps at the auto parts store, looks like they might fit.

can I just use one of those?

Looks pretty tight up in there, will I need to drop the tank to replace it?

this is a '95 1500 with the 5.9 engine.

OK, no big deal, I replaced it, just hope that rubber cap was the right material to use with gas.
