1998 Dodge Ram 1500 4 x 4 Transmission Replacement

I have a Dodge Ram Sport 1500 4 x 4, 360 engine.  I would like to replace my automatic transmission.  I am looking for a transmission that is a lot more dependable than the current one.  What do you recommend as a suitable replacement without spending a ton of money for a conversion?

you might check with Jeff Garmin transmission. he does diesel transmission I'm not sure about gassers
