Aftermarket Seat Heaters
« on: September 23, 2016, 03:05:56 pm »
Just thought I'd try and do my part to bring a little life into the forum

About a year and a half ago we picked up a 2014 Ram 1500 Expressman.  This summer I picked up a leater seat kit from Roadwire and before I put that in, I wanted to also add heated seats to the front and was just curious if anyone here has experience with any of them.  My original thought was trying to make it look as factory as possible and tracking down the factory switches.  But, from the limited reading I've done, it appears those panels that house those buttons are 'programmed' and not just a panel.  My panel has the factory brake controller and tow/haul button in it.

So...has anyone purchased aftermarket seat heaters?

Yeah, I did for my 06.  Installed them ran the wires behind the panel, and besides using them at the G2G that I installed them at, haven't touched them.  OF course, it would have been more common if I'd ended up stationed north of the mason dixon line.  the switches are nice, compact, but definitely don't match the rest of the truck...
