Parking Brake Sensor
« on: November 10, 2016, 03:37:20 am »
ok guys, had the rust that was creeping into my rear wheel wells repaired.

Now my parking brake sensor is going off... particularly when I brake.  I'm assuming the body shop just knocked it out of place or something... tips, advice, pictures, procedures, recommendations? rather not spend coin to have a dealership do what's probably a 5 min fix.

Brake fluid.

Reservoir made it look full, but it's stained and only looked full, was only about 1/3rd full, and had crap in it.

I did.

Thankfully I have a pretty awesome dealership close by and a heck of a mechanic there.

If there was crap in it, did they change out the fluid? or was it not necessary.

he sucked out the existing, or at least portions and refilled.  When I can afford to have the truck down (this summer), I'll probably do a full system flush and re-do.  But im imaging most of the bleeder valves will break and have to be replaced due to it's life starting in Minnesota.
