05 Ram 1500 Rear Fender Repair
« on: January 13, 2017, 05:01:15 pm »
After having the arches completely rust out on my, I am in the process of trying to figure out how to repair it. I'm planning on replacing the outer wheel arch as well as the outer fender panel over each rear tire.

I intend on welding everything into place, however I am stumped at how Dodge bonded the two panels together. It appears to be some hardened resin, should I used bondo to secure the wheel arch to the fender?

Thanks, Mike.

Look into panel adhesive. Bondo wouldn't last a day.

Try to go to a local bodyshop and ask them on what they are using.
