EPA gets 4+ billion out of VW for software that doesn't run the same emissions protocol all the time... and now they are coming after Dodge.
 :banging:

While most of the news articles and public releases talk about the 1500 & Jeeps a couple tie in Cummins too.

Maaaann this sucks.  Well guess the 1500 diesel will be killed soon enough now.

Kind of interesting that this report came out shortly after F/C announced massive investment into jobs in Detroit and building a new manufacturing plant for the 2/3500 rams.

I'm so glad I'm not the only evil one who thought of that also!  I hate to think all 'conspiracy theory' and what not -- but there are just way to many :quote: timing issues :quote: with this one.  VW agrees to pay more -- a VW rep gets arrested randomly @ the airport -- new plant announced --   and on.

It just blows all around. They are going to have to reconfigure the software and cut the efficiency of diesel again hurting us even more :(

I love Mother Earth I really Do! She needs to be protected. But really ~ my tailpipe isn't the problem here. The heavy carbon emissions from consumer diesel vehicles is a drop in the bucket.  It's not the place to put $10B value on.

I'm sure they'll be targeting just about every manufacturer with a diesel in its ranks.

Sucks, but I guess they sort of had it coming.
Mopar or no car!

Doubt it will happen anymore. The new Sheriff in the White House just gave the EPA a stop order on investigations and regulations.
