Pullrite Gooseneck Adaptor
« on: September 19, 2008, 02:55:36 am »
As some of ya'll may know, I occasionally tow a fifth wheel camper. The hitch that I use is a Pullrite 16K Superglide. I really enjoy the function of this hitch, as it's an automatic slide system.

Recently, I've decided to look for a gooseneck horse trailer and ordered the Pullrite adaptor for my system. It sits on top of the rails and pins into place. The cost was about $350.00 and looks rather sturdy.

So anyone looking for a system that incorporates a 5'ver slider, as well as a gooseneck, this is pretty slick.

The Superglide on the rails:

And the Gooseneck on the rails:

That's pretty slick !!

How hard is it to remove all of that from the bed? Is anything left once you do?

Like for example if you wanrted to use the bed for something like picking up drywall or something. You know, like if you wanted to haul something.

It's very simple to remove everything.

You see the 8 angled  pins.....remove them, lift the gooseneck off, then lift the rails off, then remove the 4 twist lock (vertical) pins that go thru the bed into the frame below.

After that I lay my rubber mat down to cover the holes in the bed, and you'd never know the difference.

Tomorrow, I'm going to the deer camp for a work weekend. I'll load my 4 wheeler in the bed, so yes, I don't tow much, but have the ability when I need to.

Louisiana Guard Dog.....

Locks the ATV to your hitch, so them slippery fingered folks can't make off with your ATV.

That's a cool setup there big river. I have the pullrite 20.5k hitch. I wanted them type removable rails when I got my hitch, but at the time they didn't have them for my year in an 8ft. box. I'd be nice to be able to take out the rails.

I MAY BE OLD, BUT I GOT TO SEE ALL THE GOOD BANDS.....

Mayfair.........that item you asked about is called a "Louisiana Guard Dog". It's made in Louisiana and sold in places like Cabelas.  It is locked into my receiver hitch, then clamps down and locks onto the ball on my 4 wheeler, like a boat trailer clasp.  Everything is locked down and cannot be stolen without much effort. I can even hook up and tow a small trailer behind if I wish, not that I ever had.

Kenz............Yes, I'm impressed with the engineering and design of this. Don't know, but maybe Pullrite has made something adaptable for you in your situation. Might be worth it to check them out.
