And so it begins..... Fling 1 and Fling 2 making their Maryland debut. A little boring I know, I'll let Tom take them out and show them the town.

Donny, pleasure to meet the infamous Mayfair, Tom good to see you again, had to get on my way and let them finish Donny's brakes.

Yeah, got a lot of WTF? looks from the guys in Tom's garage. I can't image some of the eyebrows that will be raised as these make the rounds.

Ok, we're a little off as far as the sequence of events goes, so I'll re-post their first appearance.

Here they are. They were first intruduced in Phila PA at the home of ME / Mayfair.

Here ya go ...

When they first arrived:

First time seeing light:

First time on their own two feet ( sticks :43: )

Ok, then I started the Fling modding process. I first added a necklace on each properly displaying their names - Fling 1 and Fling 2. I also decided to add a Liberty Bell since they made their first appearance in Philadelphia, home of the Liberty Bell, and also because I knew Rich would get a kick out of it. I then signed Fling 2 and propped them up behind my truck.

I gave them something to drink, and packed them up for their first trip to Baltimore. You'll also see some hat's in the pic that Parts/Service sent up to me to be added to the box. Everyone is to sign not only a Fling of their choice, but also one of Dave's hats.

ROAD TRIP !!!

The Flings went on their first road trip. The went via my truck 137 miles from Philly to Baltimore. Once there, I handed them off to Cujo as seen here:

He then took the pics seen above, we went out to consume some lunch and some beverages ( :43: ) and he then gave them back to me.

I decided to include the Flings in some of the work the Tom ( kilch ) and I were doing over the weekend. Here you can see Fling 1 hamming it up next to a sexy new rotor:

Fling 2 being jealous, also jumped in:

Here you'll see the Flings hanging out on the sidelines yapping it up next to Tom's forklift:

Wanting to jump in and help out, they then hopped up into my engine compartment. As you'll notice, those Flings SURE do like their drinks !!

Lastly, you'll see Fling 2 hanging out for the rear axle seal and brake job. Fling 1 was minding the beverages.

That's it. From here, I handed them over to kilch and they are now in his care. I can't wait to see where they wind up next !!

Well at least you got my best side.

And from the refreshing beverages seen in the other pictures, it's no wonder it took you two the entire weekend.  :43:

Fling 1 and Fling 2 accompanied me to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, MD  this evening.

We visited the USS Constellation:

We took a shot with just water in the background:

We took a look at the Norwegian Tall Ship "Statstraad Lehmkuhl"

And we got a shot with the harbor in the background including the famous Domino Sugar plant (right side), and the National Aquarium (left side)

They hope to meet Haggret this week, and Friday evening, pose with the ladies, then they'll be off to spend some time with another DOF member

Stay tuned...

Awesome pics !! You got lucky having the bricks to wedge their legs into. Any word from your Pop about making them bases?

if not I can make some foam bases for them out of that packing foam. it is pretty dense stuff.

It's the legs. The Flings really don't stand well on their own. You need to pop them in some dirt or something. Well, some of the shots that I wanted to take, there was no dirt available, so I had to kinda prop em up. I think if someone was to fabricate just some small hunks of wood into a 'T' shape, you could just wedge their legs into the T and not worry about having to find dirt. I also wanted to permanently attach their legs to their bodies, however if I did that they wouldn't fit into the box.

Bases are complete!
Fling 1 was the official supervisor (Fling 2 stayed in the box, but will probably take all the credit for the job!

Close-Up of the base:

TA-DA!

Now for both of them:

And a crab with em

And I signed Fling 2

They'll be flyin Monday, and I'll post the tracking number as soon as I get it
