Gauge pictures and setups
« on: December 07, 2008, 04:38:01 pm »
Okay, folks are always asking which gauges look good, which ones match the interior best, how you set them up, how the mounts look, etc.

So, let's see your setups and lets get a consolidated gallery of gauges, mounts and installs.
.
.
.
.
.

These are the DiPricol EGT, Boost and Rail Pressure gauges mounted in an Autometer A-pillar mount, Dipricol Fuel Pressre in an Autometer column mount and Isspro Oil Pressure, Trans Temp and Post-turbo EGT on the dash.

The DP's (no longer in business) match the stock dash perfectly and the Isspro's are extremely close.

If you are going to install these gauges, do yourself a favor and spend the extra $30 or so and get the pre-wired harness for them. It makes the install SOOOOO much easier. It also has seperate dimmer controls for each gauge so you can tune the brightness individually.

I also have them hooked to the stock dimmer control so when I dim the dash, they dim as well.

Ok, Here are mine. I went with the overhead mount. The Boost is in the A-Pillar and the fuel pressure, exhaust and tranny temp are in the overhead

Rich Where Does Your Driveway Go? Is There A House Beyond The Fence?

Look at the pictures above the night shot, the truck is in the same spot.

Rich is in his back yard.  His house is on the left in the pick, his truck is behind and to the right of the house. Truck is inside the fence...

That would be Co-rect!

Dave if you hadn't had to come save his back side bet you wouldn't know that :tt2:

Robert, what are you using to hold up your overhead mount? The velcro or something else?

I'm thinking about using some rear view mirror adhesive on mine.

I'm not really liking the velcro.

Rich, It came with this super 3M velcro from hell that makes most adhesives look like water. I got it positioned a little wrong and when i tried to pull t off I though I was going to break the guage pod. I still haven't fixed it but I did buy some more of that velcro so that I can.

I think its the same stuff (or better) than what's used on the SRT billets. I wouldn't worry about it not sticking.

Could you get more pics of that overhead setup? Been thinking about going that route but every shop around here says that with the high humidity combined with the summers here that they tend to fall off.

I'll get some closeups for you. I have to say , its gets hot down here and I've had days where my dash was 130F in the sun... and its still up.

the TST controller is held by velcro, then Ive got the Westach dual boost EGT gage in the SRT-10 pillar.

at first the dual gage was quite buisy, however after a while you get to understand whats going on just by glancing out of the corner of your eye.

Drew - I've got the same gauge, plus fuel pressure right below it (dual mount from Auto Meter) - I love watching the dual sweep when you stomp into it!

I was waiting for dark to take my gauge pics
