Need a Holster???
« on: December 18, 2008, 05:16:22 am »
Ok, this list of Holsters Manufacturers and Distributors was put together by my friend LoneOak(Danny) over on GeorgiaCarry.org. One of the nicest guys I know and someone who can kick A$$ with his XD-9.

As a side note, he's losing his job come January so if you know of any jobs in the Printing Industry (pressman)or as Plant Maintenance engineer (in the Atlanta area), let me know. I'll be happy to give you his contact info so he can learn more about any openings.
(and as he ends all his posts)

Let me add another that isn't on the list... Rudy Lozano in Laredo, TX. It is top of the line stuff; I can vouch for his quality as I have 3 belts and multiple holsters from him. He makes cowboy rigs, duty equipment as well as open and concealed carry holsters/accessories and belts.

Thanks Turbo, I've added it to the list and I'll pass it on to Danny too.

I'm looking for a generic nylon(or whatever) thigh rig, that will fit any full size handgun with or without a tac light. Don't want to spend much either, like maybe 50$-75$, any ideas? Doesn't have to have any additional pouches attached either, course maybe one would be nice, since it will cover my pants pocket on that side.

From what Ive seen, thigh holsters are going to run you around $100 + or more. Check some of the stores, Midway Usa, Top GUn Supply to get some ideas. A blade style holster is going to be cheaper. But just look around a bit... Or you could wai for one of our many military/LEO personnel to pipe up...

I like this one. It isn't exactly quick draw, but I like the fact that it covers the whole gun. It might help protect the gun from the elemets a little (not to likely though), but mostly people tend to get all weird nervous and stuff when they see someone walk in with a gun in plain sight. Then they start doing stupid stuff like walking up to you and saying "hey bud, my truck is the white one out there, how bout ya put and extra bag of money in the back for me" then I wip out my gun and kill em, haha J/K. But seriously that could start a conversation i wouldn't want to have.

Are you working in the Ar Ramadi branch of Brinks?

Just stick with your belt holster.  If there is not a need for a drop holster, why the heck would you want one?

Opps, I thought I posted back like a week ago, d'oh. Na, I just was looking for something more comfortable. I was driving for 20 hrs yesterday... the hip holsters (mags, and the gun) start to get old rubbin on ya.
